Documentation
A step-by-step guide for patients, doctors, laboratories and pharmacists. Find your role below and follow the steps, you will not need to ask for help.
For patients
DocPlus lets you see a doctor by video, order medicine from partner pharmacies and book tests at partner laboratories, all from one account.
What you get
- Doctors by specialty with their experience, fee and reviews.
- Video consultations from your phone or computer, so you do not need to travel.
- Prescriptions kept in your account after each consultation.
- Partner pharmacies for ordering medicine.
- Partner laboratories for pathology (blood, urine and similar) and radiology (X-ray, scan) tests, with reports delivered to your account.
- Offers and discounts, and a record of your bookings and payments.
Set up and use, step by step
-
Create your account
Select Sign up, enter your name, email or phone number and a password, then enter the verification code sent to you.
Why: the code proves the email or number is yours, so appointment reminders and reports reach you and nobody else.
-
Complete your profile
Open your account and add your date of birth, gender, address and a phone number you answer.
Why: doctors see these details when you book. A complete profile saves time during the consultation.
-
Find the right doctor
Open Search for Doctors and pick a specialty. Not sure which one you need? Read the Specialties dictionary below. If you are unsure, search by your symptom in the dictionary, it tells you which specialty to pick.
Why: each doctor profile shows experience, fee and patient reviews so you can choose with confidence.
-
Book a time
Open the doctor's profile, choose a date, pick one of the available time slots, then enter the patient's details and a short description of the problem. Booking for a child or a parent? Enter their details, not yours.
Why: the doctor reads your description before the call, so a clear one gives you a better consultation.
-
Pay securely
Apply an offer code if you have one, then pay online with the payment methods shown at checkout. Prices are shown in naira. Your booking is confirmed once payment succeeds.
DocPlus does not store your card details. Payments are handled by our payment partners.
-
Join your video consultation
At the booked time, open My appointments in your account and select Join. Use a quiet place, a charged device and stable internet, and allow camera and microphone when your browser asks. Keep your previous reports and medicines nearby.
Join 5 minutes early to test your sound and camera. If the call does not start, refresh the page, then contact Support. -
Get your prescription and follow-up
After the consultation, the doctor may write a prescription. You will find it in your appointment details. Leave a review afterwards to help other patients.
-
Order medicine
Browse partner pharmacies, add the medicines from your prescription, enter your delivery details and pay. You can follow the order status in your account.
-
Book a lab test
Open partner laboratories, choose a lab, pick the tests, choose a date and time slot and pay. When the lab finishes, your report appears in your account for download.
Why: booking ahead means no queue, and your results are stored where your doctor can discuss them with you.
-
Use offers
Check Offers for current discounts. Each offer has its own dates and rules.
Tips to get the most from DocPlus
- Keep your profile and phone number up to date.
- Write down your symptoms, when they started and any medicine you take before the call.
- Upload or keep ready recent test results.
- Rate your doctor after the consultation.
For doctors
Reach patients across Nigeria, set your own fee and consult by video, without needing a clinic website of your own.
What you get
- A public profile that patients can find by specialty.
- Your own consultation fee and weekly schedule.
- Video consultations through Zoom.
- A dashboard for appointments, earnings and commission, plus reviews from patients.
- The ability to write prescriptions for your patients.
Set up, step by step
-
Register
Go to Doctor login (also in the page footer under partner links), choose to register, fill in your details, and enter the verification code sent to your email or phone.
Why: this creates your doctor account and confirms how patients and DocPlus can reach you.
-
Complete your profile
After you sign in, fill in every field: photo, specialty, category and expertise, education, years of experience, languages, hospital or clinic, certificate and a short description about yourself.
Why: patients choose doctors on trust. A clear photo, a real description and the right specialty help you get booked. The right specialty also puts you in the right search results. Not sure which one fits? See the Specialties dictionary.
Choose the specialty and category that match what you actually practise. Patients filter by these. -
Set your consultation fee
Enter the fee for one appointment. You may price in naira or another supported currency. Patients in Nigeria always pay in naira. When your fee is in another currency, the naira amount follows the day's exchange rate and is fixed when the patient books.
-
Subscribe
Open Subscriptions in your menu, choose a plan and pay. After payment your subscription becomes active and your profile goes live. You can see all past payments under Subscription history.
Why: the subscription is what keeps your listing public. When it expires, you are removed from the doctors list until you renew.
-
Set your schedule timings
Open Schedule timings, choose the days you work and add your time slots for each day, including how long each appointment lasts.
Why: patients can only book the slots you open. If you set no times, nobody can book you.
-
Connect Zoom for video calls
Open Zoom setting and choose to connect your Zoom account. Sign in to Zoom when prompted and approve access. Once connected, DocPlus creates a meeting for each paid appointment automatically.
Why: Zoom is the video room for your consultations. Without it, patients cannot join your calls.
Use the same Zoom account every time and keep it signed in on the device you will consult with.
Day-to-day use
-
Check your dashboard
Your dashboard summarises today's appointments, patients and earnings.
-
Open Appointments
See each booking with the patient's details and what they described. Read it before the call.
-
Consult
At the appointment time, select the join or start button on the appointment to open the Zoom meeting. Ask about symptoms, history and medicines.
-
Write the prescription
When done, add medicines, dosage and advice to the appointment's prescription. The patient sees it in their account and can use it to order from partner pharmacies.
-
Track earnings and commission
Open Commission details to see what each consultation earned, the commission DocPlus retains, and what is due to you.
-
Read your reviews
Open Reviews to see patient feedback. Good reviews bring more bookings.
For laboratories
List your tests, let patients book and pay online, and deliver reports straight into their accounts.
What you get

- Separate lists for pathology tests (for example blood and urine) and radiology tests (for example X-ray and ultrasound), each with your own prices.
- Bookings by time slot, so you can plan your day.

- A commission page showing what you have earned.
Set up, step by step
-
Register
Open Laboratory login (also in the footer), choose to sign up, enter your laboratory's details and confirm the verification code sent to your email or phone.
Why: the code proves the contact details are yours, so booking alerts reach you.
-
Complete your lab profile
Add the lab name, logo or photo, address, phone, email and a short description of what you offer. Patients see this on your page.
-
Add your pathology tests
Open Pathology in your menu and add each test with its name, price, any preparation instructions (for example "fasting for 8 hours") and its category.
Why: clear names, prices and preparation notes mean fewer phone calls and fewer wasted visits.
-
Add your radiology tests
Do the same under Radiology. Use clear names such as "Chest X-ray" or "Abdominal ultrasound".
-
Set your lab timeslots
Open Lab timeslot, select your working days and the hours when patients may come in or when samples may be collected.

-
Add insurers (optional)
Open Insurers to list the health insurers you work with, so insured patients know before they order.
Day-to-day use
Watch for orders
Open Medicine orders to see new orders with the items, quantities, the patient's delivery details and any prescription.
Check the prescription
For prescription-only medicine, confirm the prescription is valid before you supply.
Prepare and update the status
Pack the order and update its status so the patient can follow progress.
Keep stock current
Edit prices and remove sold-out items so patients never order what you do not have.
Track earnings
Open Commission details to see sales, the commission DocPlus retains and the amount due to you.
Understanding prices and payments
- All patient-facing prices are in naira.
- If a doctor prices in another currency, the naira price follows the daily exchange rate and is locked when you book.
- Medicine and lab prices are set by the pharmacy or lab and shown at checkout.
- Partners (doctors, labs, pharmacies) see what they earned and the commission DocPlus keeps in their Commission pages.
